In the summer of 2018, his interest in Venture Capital led him to London to study Alternative Investments.
During his studies, he joined VSM Advisors, an investment boutique and start-up consultancy, reinforcing his passion for this exciting area. As a Consulting Analyst Duarte had responsibilities in origination investment opportunities and advisory support.
He developed his master's thesis in machine learning applied to Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), where he stood out for the uniqueness of the subject.
Upon completing the Master in Financial Mathematics, he joins the Investment Team at GED Ventures.
As an Analyst, he supports the entire investment process, from the origin of opportunities, analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
DID YOU KNOW?
Duarte likes to play basketball and is a fan of the NBA. In 2021, he published an online article on machine learning models for predicting the awarding of individual awards to NBA players based on their performance.
